Awww Yes, I must babble on about J Dilla, the hip hop producer and mc from Detroit. I've had a true fascination with producer/dj/ artists J Dilla and Madlib (Stones Throw) for some time now. I've listened to J dilla's "The Shining", "Ruff Draft", and "Welcome to Detroit", along with the madlib/ j dilla collab "Champion Sound". Must I say that these guys are for real. Not your average hip hop producers of this time. J dilla is no longer with us (RIP) but through his music he reminds people of true hip hop. J dilla was the king of the beat. Unlike many producers and Beatmakers now days, Dilla had a unique fascination in learning the instruments he used in his beats. His ear for samples was incredible and has come out with some of the best stuff i've ever heard.Being a music junkie myself, i've recently been downloading lots of music ( i do regret it). I just got some of Dilla's hidden work, a good three albums of straight beats, some mpc work, some awesome singles with remixes, and some earlier albums. I just wanna say, the dude is real! His music is just raw and uncut, just how hip hop should be. I could go on about this cat for days, and i'll probably have another dilla phase I'm sure, and of course make another blog about how amazing J Dilla is...
